I cant see why this app have too much good reviews, probably all of them just written by one person. I used app, its horrible, if you an iPhone user, you may notice that how bad UI is. You need complicated question/answer password recovery process, and very easy just lost your bitcoins

Nice ability to buy/sell in app. Its not instant but I like not having to transfer out of an exchange. Great job.

A well encrypted wallet with an excellent directory attached so you can see who takes bitcoins nearby. It used to be prone to crashes but I havent seen any crashes for a long time, it seems quite stable now. I gave 4 out of 5 as there is one feature it really still needs which is to have multiple accounts in the one app. As is stands, you can only have one account in it currently. Enjoy

Used this app and lost my Bitcoins, much better alternatives out there.

I like this Bitcoin wallet because the security model is different and easy. Your Bitcoins, from my understanding, are stored on your phone but an encrypted copy seems to also be kept on Airbitz servers that you can restore to another phone IF you have remembered your password. I think also that you should choose a very very good password so that if someone tries to hack the encrypted copy (be it a hacker, an Airbitz employee, the government, or aliens that have invaded earth or were sleeping underground until now), it will never work.

The UI is terrible, its like it was designed by someone who has never used an iPhone app in their life. Nothing here behaves like what youd expect from an iPhone app, and it keeps surprising you with what it does (in a bad way). This is clearly not a native app, but just a webapp in a wrapper.

Their awesome support was quick to get a bug that I reported fixed. As far as the app goes,

WOW, the Bitcoin wallet feature has been added and works smoothly, (I read in the reviews it has THE best security of any wallet) without crashing, even on my iOS 8.0.2 devices. To top that off there are no transaction fees whatsoever. Ill be leaving my old wallet company... Thanks Airbitz! ABSOLUTELY what I needed to locate restaurants, businesses and almost every other kind of merchant or service that accepts BitCoins. The functionality of this app is excellent. Unlike other apps that crash because I have my VPN turned on, this app is solid. Even with all of the content and images corresponding to each listing it does not use very much memory at all. Certainly an app that goes into my “do not delete” folder.

After hours of time looking for the most secure wallet for my bitcoins this is the best I could find and it supports BLE (Bluetooth low energy) which is rather nice. The Bitcoin directory is a great resource for finding new places that accept bitcoin.

Usually when an app maker gets too ambitious and packs in many features, quality or performance will suffer. Not so with Airbitz Bitcoin Wallet, Map, & Directory! The Bitcoin wallet feature works well as advertised, with support for multiple wallets, each potentially using its own currency. The business directory is really helpful, even showing me the location of a local ATM where I can convert cash to bitcoins. When viewing the detail for a business, you can tap the address to be taken to the Maps app for directions–pretty slick! And the people at Airbitz are so helpful and friendly.

Seems the most awesome apps nowadays tend to end with a "z." :) I think airbitz has started a new chapter for Bitcoin - offering the convenience of PayPal without sacrificing the bitcoins philosophy of privacy. Kudos on the great app and a great concept.

The Airbitz app is a simple to use two factor authentication Bitcoin wallet. The user interface is easily used by any level of technical expertise. Throughout the registration process of using the app, you are shown why certain information is requested. Completing transactions through the Airbitz app is straightforward and less restrictive without requiring large amounts of user information. I recommend this wallet app for new and experienced Bitcoin users.

Simple to use. Does what I want. Just wish there were more restaurants in my area that accept BTC.
